UNTRADTIONAL THANKSGIVING

THANKSGIVING DAY we had a yummy feast with Ronnie and his extended family. Aunt Eileen made her homemade chicken and noodles. THE BEST! Uncle Gerald made brussels sprouts, my first time trying them and they are SOOoo good! After pie Ronnie and his dad left for an Elk hunt. Ronnie could be gone as long as two weeks:( The girls and I went up north with my parents and my aunt and her family until Saturday.

TONIGHT we celebrated thanksgiving here at my house with my family. LOTS of WORK but LOTS of FOOD and FUN! I even made uncle Gerald's brussels sprouts:)

MONDAY Jaylee started with the flu. It has been NONE stop throwing up and laundry for the last week. I thought we were in the clear when we left Thursday, boy was I wrong! On top of Jaylee STILL having the flu, Faith and my aunts little boy Chance both came down with it too. Not your ideal thanksgiving/road trip. This evening both of the girls SEEM to be feeling better. I am just crossing my fingers that the flu bug will pass me by, especially with Ronnie out of town.

SENTIMENTAL TIME...
I'm thankful for Faith, her name alone is my everyday reminder to keep the faith.
My Jaylee, I have never loved brown eyes until I looked into hers.
My husband, just thinking about him right now made me chuckle:)
My family who would do ANYTHING for me and who have already done EVERYTHING!
My in laws, I know they love me because I can FEEL it and it feels good!
The gospel, that feeds me everyday.
My home, HOME spells it all.
I am thankful for ALL of my countless blessings!

I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving!

We do you love you Aleia and your beautiful brown eyes. You are a great mom to Faith and Jaylee and they are so lucky to have you. I sure hope you don't get the flu bug. Call me if you need me!!!! My stomach hurt during the night but it seems OK so far today. Hopefully that is all I'll get.

Doesn't sound exactly like the perfect holiday...the eating part does, but the flu isn't something you'd plan for Thanksgiving! That's just SAD! (You'll have to ask your Uncle Norm about his experience with brussel sprouts someday.) I loved the picture of Jesus and Mary. Very nice. Hope everyone is well by now and you can enjoy the rest of the Holidays.
Love you!

What a sweet post! I too, love that picture of the Savior and Mary. I can relate to the flu bug going around. Ava has had it 3 times in the last 3 weeks. Just as she gets rid of it, it comes back a couple days later. I seems like my washer NEVER stopped! I am sure your in laws love you! You have such a cute family!

Yucky with the flu. I so hope Landen doesnt get it. He had it last month and it was aweful. My OBGYN keeps telling me I should get the flu shot, but I keep ignoring her. Maybe I should. Glad you had a great weekend otherwise.

Your family looks as cute as I would have imagined them. I don't know if I knew that you and Ronnie got married, that is great. Where are you guys living? We should get together sometime, I would love to see you.

You poor thing that dreadful flu bug has been through all of us out here. Sorry it got your family. Your such a good example of being a supportive wife and letting your husband do what you know he enjoys. I need to work on this one!

If you need ANYTHING, I am just down the road. Call or just come on by!!! Tanya

Love the snowflakes! I feel your pain! It went through our house. I hope you don't get it either. I did I had to have neighbors watch my kiddos. Happy thanksgiving! CHicken and noodles sound delish! Fun that the festivities were at your house! I love the scripture on your page. Very uplifting :)
