Faith gave her first talk in primary yesterday. She weaseled out of it last year as a sunbeam. Faith was excited and I was nervous! I begged Ronnie and my Grandma both to help her instead. No such luck. We walked up to the pulpit and Faith pulled the microphone down just like she new what she was doing and I whispered her talk in her ear. All the while my knees where knocking. Faith asked me after church when she would get to give a talk again? I hope that's not a sign that she is volunteering for next time:) Joking aside, I am really proud of her and how eager she is to participate at church.
Saturday Faith was being the BIGGEST stinker! I put her in my bedroom for a time out. She usually goes to her room but Jaylee was napping and their rooms are next to each other. When Faith is on time out she SCREAMS the entire time. Anyhow, she was quiet this time, so I just left her in there so I could have some more cool down time. When she came out she had bright pink lip stick on and was holding something behind her back. She says to me "mom remember when Aunt Bailey cut my hair"? She then whips out a zip lock bag with a 5 inch lock of hair that she cut herself! This is one of my most dreaded fears. I have kept the scissors hidden since she started to sprout her first hairs. I never thought to hide the finger nail scissors. The good news is, it could have been worse. At least she cut it underneath her hair instead of at the scalp.
yes...she had been crying(the picture was taken after I scolded her for cutting her hair.

That was a close one! :)
The little stinker...or should I say BIG STINKER! I'm glad it was in a hidden place though because her hair is so beautiful!
Oh wow! I read that before I saw the picture and I thought Oh NO. Her hair is so beautiful. but whew, at least she cut it from underneath. Little stinker for sure.
Oh my, that is one of my fears too, thanks for the tip on hiding the nails scissors too. It would have been really bad if it was right in the front, what a relief it was in the back. It sounds like her talk went well, I am with you on the knee shaking part, crazy.
Sounds like a fun weekend! Little girls are so fun, but such stinkers! Karlee cut hers bad with my scrapbooking scissors. So fun!
Oh man what luck. I remember my little cousin watching Mulan and then chopping off all of her hair. They had to cut it all off. What a turkey!
You are a lucky girl! I was getting ready to trim Whitley's hair when she was little and one of the boys started crying so I ran real quick to help them and 2 minutes later I come back to a little girl with a mullet!! She looked like a girl from the eighties she was so proud of herself. She was sitting on the bathroom counter hence she had the mirror to help guide her. :) Like I said you are one lucky girl!!
Oh ya and watch out for little friends... Whitley was at her friends house and they were "pretending". Her friend was pretending that Whitley had mud in her hair and cleaned it up with the scissors!
That was a close one! Glad it was only a little, it could have been much worse....
I'm sorry, but that really is so funny! I always know Jake is up to something when it is quiet too long, especially when he is in timeout!!! I'm so glad she didn't go crazy with the scissors because she has beautiful hair! That's awesome about her talk.. your such a good mom!
I am definitely glad it wasn't worse..she is too cute and has the prettiest hair. I used to be in nursery and totally remember the kids coming in and having chunks taken out of their hair. It will definitely be something I worry about too!!
Its so funny how you always know they are up to something when they are QUIET! Savannah recently got into my mascara a couple weeks ago. She was ever-so-sneeky about it too! Thank goodness she didn't cut more hair--it would be a shame to lose that gorgeous hair!
