BEST $500 I'VE EVER SPENT!!!

NO LIE, BY FAR THE VERY BEST $500 I HAVE EVER SPENT AND EVER WILL SPEND!!! ISR SWIM LESSONS!
I had never heard about ISR lessons until this summer. We spent 10minutes a day Mon-Fri for the last five weeks at these lessons. I have to admit I was skeptical at first. I was also very hesitant because of the five days a week, 4-6week commitment and of course the lessons are pricey. The first couple of lessons I even doubted if I had made the right decision. The lessons are very intense, emotional and Jaylee even threw up the first couple of times. You have to document every thing they eat and drink and every time they have a bowel movement and urination the entire time they are in the lessons. Before they graduate they have to pass off saving themselves, first in their summer cloths, then their PJs and then full blown winter clothing. The pics (BELOW) are of Jaylee passing off in her winter cloths. Long sleeve shirt, hooded sweater, jeans, socks and tennis shoes and diaper. The instructor sank her clear to the bottom of the pool, flipped her every wich way, threw her in face first and backwards and last she took off her sweater and threw it on top of jaylees face. My 1yr old baby can save her own life if she fell into water because she knows how to float and swim to the side of the pool! She can float as long as she needs to, until she would be rescued. I am in no way being naive, I understand a child should never be left unsupervised ever! But these lessons sure have given me some piece of mind. I HIGHLY recommend everyone get their kiddos into these lessons, it will be the BEST investment you have ever made! As soon as I can I will post the video of her passing off, it is really something to see!

It is amazing! I saw the video yesterday of Jaylee and she did awesome. I can't believe how they can learn it. I am so glad that you and Bailey put the kids in it. It helps me too knowing that they can do this. I know we still need to watch them but it still gives you some time if they ever did fall in or something. Watch you kids around water!

OMG! I have seen this video before in an email, and thought, WOW what an amazing thing they can teach babies to do this... so you did it with jaylee?! thats so awesome. i cant imagine how emotional it would be to see it in the beginning. but she looks like she did so good! she passed the test fully clothed~! WOW! thats all i can say. as for the 500.00 that is worth every penny as long as you know your baby would be safe.

Only 10 min a day? Wow amazing how much they learn. I think it is great you and Bailey did that especially with their g-ma having a pool. Saftey 1st

Aleia,
I did those same lessons with my daughter, Ava. It was very tense the first couple weeks, but such an amazing program. It gives you a piece of mind! I will be doing the same with my baby. I agree that it's the best money EVER spent! Glad your having a good summer!

This freaks e out! Crazy that a one yr old can learn to do that - I'm such a sissy I'm thinking of how upsetting it would be for Syd to be thrown in the water, etc, but imagine how upsetting it would be to truly have an accident and be FLOATING in the water, her not knowing how to save herself. I'm scared to try it (plus we're moving), but I am so glad you and everyone else who has, has done it!! Maybe in the near future we can...

HOLY CRAP!!!! I would love my kids to learn this, I just don't know if I could be there to watch. Then again knowing how intense it is I would also have a real hard time leaving. A HUGE PIECE OF MIND I AM SURE!
